If you’ve ever had a healing session where you released some resentment about something, you’ve probably experienced some initial exhaustion, then a growing lightness or vigor.
The exhaustion is because harboring negative emotions like that is a great strain on your body, and when the strain is relieved, your body suddenly heaves a BIG sigh of relief and kind of collapses. We don’t realize how exhausting it is to carry all these burdens.
One solution to this strain is Forgiveness. Many of my clients don’t know how to access or move into a place of forgiveness, because it’s so foreign a thought. So to help you out, this week’s tool is a simple list of affirmations to get you started.
How to use: Get in a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed, and center yourself with some deep SLOW breaths. Choose someone that you want to forgive (I suggest you start with YOURSELF) and visualize you/him/her surrounded by a dark field of energy. See the real you beside this person with that darkness around you as well.
State the affirmations that appeal to you slowly and with emotion, and as you repeat them visualize this dark energy SLOWLY clearing from yourself AND the other person. Imagine and FEEL (if you can) something leaving your body.
Once you feel like it’s gone or significantly reduced, then fill both of your bodies with beautiful white light which is SOURCE energy, perfect love, healing energy, and deep peace. See both of you healed and whole, and once done, say “I set you free” and see the person happily fading away until they are gone. Finish with “And so it is done. Thank you”
“I choose to forgive myself, and as I do, it becomes easier to forgive others.”
“Each day is a new opportunity to heal, and today is the first day of my new life.”
“I forgive everyone from my life in the past and LOVE myself into the future.”
“The past is gone. I live only in the present.”
“The past has no effect on my present.”
“I choose peace and forgiveness. I forgive you and set you free.”
“I release this ______ (anger) from my body, mind, and soul, and I forgive you. I am now free.”
“I heal myself and my life and I forgive all who have hurt me, including myself.”
